Objects of the Year

Dimpsy One is one of nine objects in the Vellum Review's Objects of the Year.
The list runs annually and covers manufactured objects of any kind — last year it included a bicycle pump, a hospital chair and a font. There is no ceremony and no trophy; they photograph the nine things together and write four hundred words about each.
Of the other eight, the folding stepladder is better than ours and we would say so unprompted: it solves a problem everyone has, it is cheaper than a lamp, and the hinge is genuinely new. We remain unconvinced by the electric kettle, which appears to have been included for the handle.
