Dimpsy BV, Ghent, Belgium, is the data controller for everything described here. We collect very little, we do not sell any of it, and there is no advertising network anywhere on this site.
What we collect when you buy something
Your name, delivery address, email address and order contents. We need all of it to make and send you a lamp. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers — we see the last four digits and nothing else.
What we collect when you use the app
If you grant permission, the app reads sleep duration and sleep efficiency from Apple Health. That data is processed on your device and is never uploaded to us. We receive the resulting calibration setting — a single number describing how sensitive your schedule should be — and nothing that produced it. We never write to Health and have no access to heart rate, activity or any other category.
What we collect when you visit this site
Aggregate page views, referrer and country, through self-hosted analytics that sets no cookies and does not fingerprint your browser. We cannot identify you from it. If you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address and whether you opened the last one.
How long we keep it
Order records for ten years, because Belgian tax law requires it. Newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Analytics for twenty-four months in aggregate form. App calibration settings until you delete the app or ask us to remove your account.
Who else sees it
Our payment processor, our shipping carriers, and our email provider — each only the part they need to do their job. All three are contractually bound and none of them may use your data for their own purposes. We use no advertising or profiling services of any kind.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to processing. Write to privacy@dimpsy.example and we will answer within thirty days. You also have the right to complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will email everyone on record before it takes effect rather than quietly updating the date at the bottom.
