Warranty

Five years, transferable, and what it does and does not cover.

Every Dimpsy lamp carries a five-year warranty from the date of delivery. The short version is below; the full legal document is at the bottom of this page.

What is covered

Electrical failure, driver failure, LED failure, and any degradation of output beyond ten percent within five years. Mechanical failure of the head, column, base or cable. Finish defects such as anodising that lifts or discolours under normal indoor use.

What is not covered

Accidental damage, liquid damage, and damage caused by opening the housing. Use outdoors or in a bathroom. Wear that is cosmetic rather than functional — a scratch from moving house is not a fault.

How long, exactly

Five years from delivery, not from manufacture. The warranty transfers if you sell or give the lamp away, because it attaches to the lamp rather than to you.

What we do about it

We repair first. If a repair is not sensible we replace the part; if that is not sensible we replace the lamp. You are not charged for parts, labour or shipping in either direction for a valid claim.

How to make a claim

Email us with the serial number from the underside of the base and a description of what the lamp is doing. Most claims are resolved by return email within two working days, and no proof of purchase is needed — the serial number tells us when it shipped.

Your statutory rights

This warranty sits on top of your legal rights and does not replace them. In the EU that means a minimum two-year conformity guarantee, which this exceeds rather than limits.
