These terms govern the sale of Dimpsy lamps and the use of this site and the Dimpsy app. Buying something means accepting them. They do not limit any right you have under Belgian or EU consumer law.
Who you are buying from
Dimpsy BV, registered in Ghent, Belgium. Company and VAT numbers appear on every invoice.
Orders and prices
An order is accepted when we email you a confirmation, not when you place it. Prices include VAT for EU destinations and exclude it elsewhere, where import duty and local tax are collected at checkout. If a price is listed wrongly we will tell you before dispatch and you may cancel without penalty.
Delivery
Lamps are assembled after the order is placed, so dispatch takes three to five business days. Delivery estimates by region are on the shipping page. Risk passes to you on delivery, not on dispatch.
Returns and cancellation
You may return a lamp within thirty days of delivery for any reason, which exceeds the fourteen-day statutory right. It should be in its original packaging, though it need not be unopened. Within the EU return shipping is free; elsewhere it is at your cost unless the lamp is faulty.
Warranty
Every lamp carries a five-year warranty, transferable with the lamp. What it covers and how to claim is set out on the warranty page. This sits on top of the statutory conformity guarantee and does not replace it.
The app
The app is provided free and is not required to use a lamp. We may change or discontinue it, but we will not disable a lamp you have bought — every lamp runs its curve without any app, network or account, and will continue to do so.
Liability
We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our failure to meet these terms. We are not liable for business losses. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
Belgian law applies, and the courts of Ghent have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in another EU member state you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer rules.
