Cleaning a lamp
What to use, and what will damage the finish.
The body
A dry or barely damp microfibre cloth. The anodised finish is hard but it is not chemically inert.
What to avoid
Solvents, alcohol wipes, abrasive creams and anything marketed as a degreaser. All of them will dull the anodising permanently.
The optic
Compressed air. Do not touch the lens surface with cloth or fingers — the coating scratches more easily than glass.
